Great rail except for the iron sight height
The top rail has very high quality construction and incredibly rigid just like how you would expect out of B&T. Much more secure than the plastic top rail that you might see on some models and definitely gives your hands more room to reach for the charging handle. That being said I do have a complaint about the iron sights. While functional they're not ideal. I like the sight picture on the front sight since the blade is very thin and precise, but the rear sight design leaves a lot to be desired. The aperture is essentially a tiny metal plate that slides up and down and held in place by a screw. The plate also has 100 and 150 laser etched on the front and rear for a 100 or 150 meter zero if you want to flip it, but the white etching can be distracting as you look through the sights. Again, its functional but I think it could be better. Another issue is that the irons are at a weird height that doesnt cowitness well with most optics. The only one that I've seen that does an absolute cowitness is an aimpoint PRO with a QRP2 mount without the spacer. If B&T offered different replacement height sights (more specifically ones that would have an absolute cowitness with an aimpoint T2 with a low mount) this would be perfect.
**these aren't designed to function w/low mounts. They are rifle sights that will work with Aimpoint's at 30mm and 39mm riser height. These are emergency sights and marked accordingly for their intended purpose as spec'd by H&K.
