I love Grippods, and if you look closely, I picked up a couple of the folding ones in another B&T review on this site. Before that, I grabbed a few of these fixed versions. They’re metal — well, about 95% aluminum. The only polymer part is the pivot point where the legs connect and extend, which houses a spring. I figured it was worth pointing out since people might assume “all metal” means every single part. The folding model is 100% metal, but even with that small polymer pivot, this fixed version is solid as hell. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. The color is more RAL-8000 more than FDE but I like RAL-8000.
